Canine Scholars was recommended to me by a neighbor after I asked how and why her dog was so well behaved!Both Chris (adult... training) and Michael (puppy training) trained all three of our large breed dogs. We have been very pleased with each training session.The dogs have been well taken care of, well treated and returned to us in great shape. Even though it is training and work our dogs have 'enjoyed' their time away. This is evident by the dogs excitement when they have seen Chris and/or Michael weeks/months after training for boarding. More importantly though, the dogs are returned to us well trained and we are armed with tools and tips on how to reinforce and maintain the training at home.Highly recommend!!read more

Luca back, Chris spent one on one time with us showing us all Luca has learned, how we can implement it, and how we can correct it. Walking Luca is so much more enjoyable now! He now walks by our side, pays attention to us, and is way less reactive to people and animals walking by than he used to be. Luca is now able to “place” in a busy park! After puppy training and a two week intensive training, we got back a puppy who no longer jumped on people, accidentally ran over kids, placed on command and could be walked without pulling or dragging (and so much more). Just finished our 3rd board and train with Canine Scholars. We have been so impressed with the change we see in our dogs... after just 2 weeks. Our newest dog is a 1 yr old husky/shepard rescue from the shelter. He had no manners and was very cautious of strangers. I was worried that sending him away for training so early would make him more afraid, but it did the opposite. He came back to us a confident dog! It is such a joy to take 3 well behaved dogs out on a walk together and we couldn't have done that without the great training by the Canine Scholars team!
